James Mitchell EA

James Mitchell was born and raised in West Bountiful, Utah. He met his wife Shara while attending Weber State University and then completed his course work in accounting at the University of Utah. In 1996, the Mitchell's moved to St George where they are currently raising their three sons and one beautiful daughter (just to sweeten the mix).

After a few years of managerial experience, James became licensed as an Enrolled Agent in 1999. He specializes in the area of business income tax planning and tax problem resolution. His hobbies include running marathon's (is excited to take on the Iron man this year) and camping with his family.

Along with Tax services, James has taken on the project of improving the St. George experience by implementing the Dixie Igloo Ice Rink which has been an exciting experience.

Dustin Woodbury, CPA, CFP

Dustin is the managing partner of The Tax Company. As such he oversees the day-to-day business operations and provides access to financial and investment services. Many of you are aware that Dustin is one of only a handful of Certified Financial Planners in Washington County and is licensed to help you develop and implement a financial plan for you or your business.

Dustin graduated in Accounting from BYU and has worked the past 8 years in Accounting and Finance. He lives in Washington City with his wife Kathryn. They have 3 wonderful children.

Josh Woodbury

Josh is a native to Southern Utah, and hopes to retire here someday. For the past two years, he has been in charge of our insurance division.

We currently offer Health, Life, Annuities, Home & Auto insurance for both personal and commercial clients.

Josh is a Utah State Alum with degrees in Finance and Economics. He has worked several years in Banking and Finance. Josh currently lives in Washington with his wife Jennica. They are expecting their first child.

Chris Guter

Chris joined The Tax Company after retiring from a 25-year career as an investment advisor. We are pleased to offer you his financial expertise combined with excellent customer service skills. Chris specializes in the area of income tax.

Chris loves living the St. George area and loves to read and enjoys skiing the beautiful ski resorts of Utah. He lives with his wife Jennifer in Dammeron Valley.

Scott Finch

Scott was born in Arizona and raised in Utah. Scott moved to St. George in 1997 and loves the area.

Scott graduated in Finance from BYU in 2008, and became licensed as an Enrolled Agent in 2010. He is also a certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor. He specializes in the area of Income tax, bookkeeping, and tax problem solving. His hobbies include all sports, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. He lives in St. George with his wife Josie.
